POLICY
The policy of Shield Security Service is to provide equal opportunities to all members of staff and to applicants for employment, regardless of sex, racial origin, marital status or disability (where practical) and to ensure that no member of staff or applicant for employment is disadvantaged by conditions or requirements, which cannot be shown to be justified.
IMPLEMENTATION
The promotion of equal opportunity will be actively pursued through the application of employment policies, which will ensure that the individuals receive treatment that is fair, equitable and consistent with their skills and abilities. To this end, the company will encourage all members of staff to take advantage of suitable opportunities for training and advancement.
Any member of staff that feels that they have received treatment in connection with their employment that is contrary to this policy should raise their grievance through the management chain.
The company is committed to the terms of the code of practice for the elimination of racial and sexual discrimination and the promotion of equal opportunity in employment. Sexual, racial and religious harassment will be regarded as forms or discrimination and staff who act in this manner will be disciplined accordingly.
